The Love Stories
Rachel and I met in a summer program from the University of Denver, the school that we were both attending at the time. The summer program consisted of two month in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We first started talking in the few month leading up to the program but it wasn’t until we were both in Sarajevo that we started to really to connect. I remember that we would would all go out as a big group each evening, but somehow every time it was always Rachel and I that would be the last ones staying out. We would spend hours just sitting, talking and laughing the night away. I knew from those many evening out together that she was special. Once we came back to Denver to finish up our final year of university, we decided to start dating. Everything with Rachel felt effortless, no day was ever too busy that we wouldn’t be able to find time to see each other. I always have felt at ease with her. Being with her brought me joy no matter what. I still feel this way to this very day. There is no other person that I can imagine being with for the rest of my life. Rachel has been my everything. She is always there when I need her the most. She is caring, loving and funny. She has a great sense of humor and laughing with her and seeing her smile makes all my worries disappear. Rachel has also made me a better person. I know that I would not be who I am today without her. Through her love and support she has helped me grow as a person and I cannot wait to keep growing together for the many years of happiness that await us.
Andrea and I met when we were both studying at the University of Denver. We both signed up for the same study abroad program in Bosnia, but we didn't really connect until around halfway through the program. We had the same sense of humor, and we spent many nights laughing together over beer after everyone else in our group had gone home. That was the summer of 2013, and we’ve been together ever since. Our relationship makes me feel free – like I can do anything, because I know that he’s there to support me and to love me. I know that we’re a team and that we respect each other, and that because of that, everything else will fall into place. Every day we spend together is a gift, and I can’t wait to see what adventure will come in our life together.
